Borgo Ficulle - Borgo Conventaccio Ficulle, Umbria:
The medieval village of Ficulle looks like a homogeneous monument with the ancient walls, the two fortresses defending the town, the numerous churches, streets and squares and the oldest center of Castel Maggiore.
Ficulle, in fact, around the end of the thirteenth century is a well-formed castle with military and administrative supremacy over the entire neighboring territory. The defensive walls of the castle consisted of a ring of walls, still clearly evident in the eastern part, along which it seems that several sighting and defense towers were located. Of these, only two fortresses that guarded the entrance doors of the town have survived. The one located to the south is the Rocca di Ficulle par excellence, an element of great architectural impact, which over time has become the emblem of the town. In the territory of Ficulle there are many testimonies of its medieval past with fortresses and castles that preserve the charm and the original architectural beauty, declined in the landscape to create paintings with a strong visual and emotional impact.
The Conventaccio is a medieval building that was a fortified observation point located on the south eastern side of Monte Nibbio with an excellent view of Orvieto.
In this splendid setting, between Terni and Orvieto, in a residential complex with swimming pool and panoramic view of Orvieto, there is an independent portion with an exclusive area and an internal view of the village.
On the first floor of a stone building, we offer a large, sunny Apartment with a double balcony, overlooking the inside of the village.
The Apartment consists of an entrance with living room and open kitchen, with a balcony on the rear side; two bedrooms, one double and one twin.
The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with bathtub and access to the larger balcony overlooking the village while the twin bedroom shares a second access always on the same large covered balcony. The second bathroom has a shower and is equipped with a washing machine.
The whole environment is tastefully furnished and equipped. The floors are in terracotta, the window frames are made of wood and the ceilings are finished with stone and wooden beams. The heating is autonomous. Like the other properties in the village, you can use the swimming pool by paying an annual fee.
